It's so sad that some women are making things difficult for other women when it comes to leadership, if you are up a date, you will know that any woman leader is always wicked and to recalled back to what happened to university of calabar students just because a lady is the VC of the university.

Just In: Crutech : University Of Cross River State (Unicross) Vice Chancellor In The Person Of Mrs. Prof. Francisca Bassey, Sent A Student To Prison For Speaking Out.

Not just in education sector alone but in all aspects of life women seem to be wicked when in a big position, mothers supposed to love their children and of course women leaders should still have that in mind.

In politics, if men don't vote women or carry women along, it will be as if men don't want women in politics and of course in big positions. Not taking you too far, read what happened in crutech that makes the acting VC, acting VC oo not even full VC yet and she already set a No School Fee, No Exam policy.

Below post are from the students of the school πŸ‘‡

It has just been brought to my attention that the young man on the right of the attached photo, one Martins Eyam, a student of the University of Cross River State, UNICROSS, was unlawfully arrested a week ago and is still being detained on the orders of the Acting Vice Chancellor, the woman on the left of the attached photo.

His offence is that he purportedly attempted to instigate a protest in the University of Cross River State, over the implementation of the "No School fees, No Exam" policy. And how did they say he did this? By sending a voice note on the school’s WhatsApp group expressing his displeasure. In other words, he was arrested and he is being detained for exercising his constitutional right to freedom of expression. The Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Francisca, should immediately facilitate the release of this student immediately.

To be poor and unable to pay school fees is not a crime. To also complain or even protest against unfavourable school policies is not a crime. Release Martins immediately!!!.Why are women always wicked when they are in a position? immediately the announcement came that a lady is our next VC I told my course mate that ladies are always wicked when they are in a big position... When they are leading any organization, they are always wicked, to my surprised, many girls in my department say yes oooo infact they started crying 😭😭 and today, if you don't pay school fee, no exam in crutech..

I dislike woman being the head of any organization. It is both alarming and deeply unjust that a student, Martins Eyam, currently remains detained in Afokang Prison for over a week—not for committing any act of violence or criminal offense, but for merely exercising his fundamental right to freedom of expression. His so-called "crime"? He sent a voice note. Yes, a voice note. In it, Martins simply expressed his opinion that the actions of the university management were unjust, and he respectfully encouraged union leaders to organize a peaceful solidarity walk. That’s it.

In a democratic society, and especially within an academic environment where critical thinking and open dialogue should be encouraged, Martins’ words should have sparked discussion, not handcuffs. Instead, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Cross River State, in collaboration with the Chief Security Officer, chose to make an example out of a student who dared to speak truth to power. This is not just an overreaction—it is a dangerous precedent.

Silencing students for raising their voices in the face of perceived injustice is a direct attack on the values of free speech, student advocacy, and institutional accountability.Martins Eyam does not deserve to be in prison. He deserves to be in class, to be heard, and above all, to be free.

We call for his immediate release and a reevaluation of the actions taken against him. If we punish students for speaking out peacefully, what kind of future are we building? And other comments from social Media usersπŸ‘‡
